My Story

Gabrielle Pinkney started singing at the age of six at Piney Grove Baptist Church under the direction of Deacon Little Joe Gibson and Bryan Bonner. Since then, she has grown into one of the Praise and Worship Leaders. This is where Sharon Davidson Cook, an instructor for The Hurrah Players, heard Bri sing and encouraged her to expand her skill set as a student and performer for one of Virginia's leading family theatre companies, The Hurrah Players. Some of Gabrielle's Performances are: Young Priscilla based on the book Silent Tears: THE LIFE OF A FORMER PASTOR'S WIFE by Stephanie C. Smith (movie trailer); The Gospel Stage Play: "When The Devil Is At Your Door" written by Tina L. Carter of Sister Sister Entertainment. Bri has also performed as Disney's Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog for the Hurrah Players and A Tribute to Michael Jackson with the Hurrah Players. She sang and performed as "Little MJ". She sung with Kenny Rogers during his Holiday Tour at the Sandler Center.  Gabrielle has also performed at various community events throughout Hampton Roads and was invited to speak about her grandmother's struggle with Alzheimer's disease at the 2010 Memory Walk.  She volunteers as a Heart Ambassador for the American Heart Association sharing her personal story living with a heart defect and educating individuals about healthy living.
